What are
the key differences between management and administration? Explain each of them
in detail.
Management is the act
of managing people and their work for achieving an organization's goal using
its resources, while the administration is an organized process of
administering the management of an organization.
Management is exacting
the discharge of policies, while the administration is exacting the assurance
of primary policies and objectives.
Management is a low
and mid-ranked function (it works for the low, medium, and top levels
organizational needs of an Enterprise), while the administration is a
high-ranked function (it entirely manages the overall management activities and
demands of a company with proper planning an organizational resources).
Decisions of the
management are controlled by the goals and policies, and administrative
decisions are controlled by a common belief and other forces.
Management mainly has
control over business concerns, and the administration has control over the
government or national sectors.
The management style
of an organization also can be changed with a removal or employment of a new
manager or leader; where they administrative procedures or policies are slower
to change or, may remain in the place for many generations of management.
The management focuses
to implement new ideas through research and innovative resources to achieve the
organization's Target. In the other hand, the administration of an organization
aims to fulfill all requirements to secure the highest objectivity for their
business.
Which is
better, management or administration? Explain in detail.
I think
that administration and management are concepts within the same branch of
knowledge, but they cover different sectors of an organization. These two
concepts cannot be compared because one encompasses less context than the
other. Everyone can decide which concept is better, according to the needs or
size of their organizations. Speaking in a hypothetical case, for a large
company or organization, administration is more effective than management,
since it encompasses more control and direction of all processes, from the
operational level to the managerial level.
I differ a little with you in whether management or administration is better, I think both are a complement and that both have to exist within an organization for the achievement of the objectives, of course, the size of the company is important to know how to run administration and management, but i still believe that both should be counted on.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you, at the end of the day Administration is the most important because it's the process of stages that ensures a company's success and Management is just a step in it.
ResponderEliminarWe have a different opinion regarding the last question, I am going more for the management.
ResponderEliminarBut we both agree that both are necessary for the proper functioning of the company.
I believe that management and administration go hand in hand but that management is more directed at execution, administration is more directed at what is going to be done and management is how.
